GENERAL FORUM POSTING GUIDELINES

Postby Kalasbyxan » Tue Sep 20, 2016 3:34 pm

HELLO THERE AND WELCOME TO WOW-MANIA FORUMS!

We like to have a sense of community around here, and love to help each others every time we can.

This post is a series of guidelines for you to follow to help improve the community and let the server grow more and become better. These are not by any means rules, but just common sense guidelines.

Let's get started!

    1: FOLLOW FORUM RULES.

They are not open for interpretations or misunderstanding. You break them, you face consequences.

    2: USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION.

It's the little magnifying glass icon beside "account" on the top right of the menu bar.

You may find other topics already opened with your same issue or discussion and you don't even know! Many could have been already answered. This would ease the workload and put less noise or unnecessary copy/paste from the people who are willing to help.

3: BE SUPPORTIVE, IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING USEFUL TO SAY, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL.

Post that do not contain useful information or are just plain jokes are not helping much the community, makes just useless noise and generally makes it difficult to read what someone is looking for. Be that help with issues or just general talk.

4: BE AS DESCRIPTIVE AS YOU CAN, AND AS STRAIGHTFORWARD AS POSSIBLE. TRY TO REMAIN ON TOPIC.

If you're looking for help, or you're trying to give help - that goes to you both. If you're helping, try to do it in a way that other people can use it as a future reference if they may encounter same problem. (see #3)

5: DO NOT HIJACK THREADS, DO NOT NECRO OLD THREADS. DO NOT BUMP YOUR OWN POST FOR ATTENTION.

Post your issue in the relative sub-forum section, if you have your own issue or topic you want to discuss, just create a new topic. Jumping in a discussion with another problem just makes things confusing and difficult to handle. Answering really old topics can cause confusion as they may have been already dealt with, on forums or by any other means by the staff. And lastly but not less important, use patience! Staff and community do help in their free time and at they own will, so don't demand attention and keep it as clean as possible.

6: NO BASHING OR POLLUTING THE FORUMS.

If you're in anger or disappointed or can't have a detached attitude over one or more topics, just refrain from writing at all. Anyone can have his own opinion and there is sometimes none right or wrong.

If you want your opinion to be discussed you may also want to use argument and reason, and be ready to them being criticized.
