Hey everyone, I’m Skyler and new here on the forum. I’ve been playing WoW for about three months now, and overall I’m having a great time exploring. But I just ran into something odd while questing in Zangarmarsh.
I picked up the quest chain that starts with “The Dead Mire” and everything was going smoothly until I got to the part where you’re supposed to collect samples from the marsh creatures. The strange thing is, the mobs drop the quest item normally… but after turning it in, the follow-up quest never appears. I even abandoned and re-took the quest, but the chain seems to stop there.
Is this a bug, or am I missing some hidden pre-requisite quest in another zone? I really don’t want to skip it since I’m trying to follow the storylines as much as possible.
Has anyone else had this happen? Any advice would help a lot.

Just assuming you play Alliance. But I don't it is different for the Horde:
Not sure about the quest you are refering to. Other then The Dead Mire quest.
For that quest you need to collect a Dead Mire Soil Sample. And they are just on the floor.
After that quest, the follow up is: An Unnatural Drought
And that quest is just about killing x of this and y of that.
And probably, most likely, during that part of the quest. You may be able to get a drop called: Withered Basidium.
That is an item that starts a quest.
They keep dropping, until you turn in that quest. (Right click the item, and start the quest). Turn is at that Alliance Mushroom outpost.
The follow up for this one is: Withered Flesh
For this quest you need to collect samples from the Hydras and Bog Lords.
The droprate is pretty terrible by the way.
But at least you get some Sporregar reputation.
Anyway, to me it's not really clear at what part of which chain you are stuck at.
I did both chains for all my characters. And I hadn't any issue.
