Are older raid dungeons tweaked up to be abnormally hard?

Postby DMusashi » Thu Apr 20, 2017 8:41 pm

Hi. I was wondering if the old raid dungeons had been tuned up, and maybe I just missed that memo. Does anyone know?

Everything I've read online suggests that a moderately-well-geared (~4k GS, 560 def, ~30k hp) level 80 protadin should be able to handle most TBC content rather easily. Yet, I went into Kara and tried soloing Moroes and then, when that failed, Attumen (which was even harder), and they were not close fights. I got my arse handed to me in short shrift. (And yes, my raid was set to 10-normal.)

I used to be a main tank / raid leader, and have been soloing lots of dungeon content for years on all sorts of toons, even on cloth toons. I'm no slouch on the protadin. But I could tell immediately that these fights seemed a lot harder than they ought to have been.

Is this deliberate / known? Has the older raid content been jacked up to make it more challenging to 80s, or something?

Just curious. Thanks.

I think you cannot solo moroes even on 80 pala, by maths it should be undoable

Although Wowhead isn't the end-all-be-all authority, the general consensus on this thread seemed to be that it should be quite doable.
